GASKETING

Gasketing is the process or technique of installing a gasket, which is a sealing material used to prevent leakage between two joined surfaces, such as in pipe connections, engines, or other mechanical components. Gasketing ensures a tight seal and helps keep the system safe from fluid or gas leaks.

Below are the different types of Gasketing

NON METAL

Non-metallic gaskets are soft sealing components made from materials such as rubber, PTFE, graphite, and compressed fiber sheets. They are primarily used in applications where low to moderate pressure is required and provide excellent sealing capability. These gaskets are widely applied in industries such as water treatment, food and beverage, HVAC, and general industrial piping systems.

Features and Benefits

Excellent Flexibility – Easily adapts to irregular surfaces, providing a strong seal.

High Chemical Resistance – Withstands exposure to oils, water, gases, and most industrial chemicals.

Good Temperature Tolerance – Suitable for applications with moderate temperature ranges.

Cost-Effective Solution – Economical and easy to install.

Applications

Water pipelines and gas distribution
HVAC systems
 Food and pharmaceutical industries
General industrial sealing applications

SEMI METAL

Semi-metallic gaskets are composed of a combination of metallic and non-metallic materials, providing a balance between flexibility and strength. These gaskets are designed to handle higher pressure and temperature applications compared to non-metallic gaskets. They are commonly used in the petrochemical, power generation, and marine industries.

Features and Benefits

Enhanced Durability – Metal reinforcement ensures longer service life.

Higher Temperature Resistance – Performs well in applications involving elevated temperatures.

Superior Sealing Performance – Combines the adaptability of non-metallic materials with the strength of metal.

Suitable for Fluctuating Conditions – Can withstand variations in pressure and temperature.

Applications

Heat exchangers
Boilers and pressure vessels
Petrochemical and refinery applications
Power plants and marine industries

METALLIC

Metallic gaskets are constructed entirely from metal and are specifically designed for extreme temperature and pressure environments. They provide the highest level of sealing performance and durability, making them ideal for critical applications such as oil and gas pipelines, nuclear plants, and aerospace industries.

Features and Benefits

High Strength and Reliability – Can withstand extremely harsh conditions.

Superior Pressure Resistance – Designed for high-pressure sealing applications.

Exceptional Thermal Stability – Operates efficiently in extreme heat and temperature fluctuations.

Corrosion Resistance – Made from stainless steel, Inconel, or other high-performance alloys.

Applications

High-pressure steam systems
Aerospace and nuclear applications
Oil and gas pipelines
Industrial power generation

HIFLEX METAL

This product overcomes limitations of the existing gasket models such as buckling, filler oxidation in the air, product damage due to high load, leakage due to significant temperature departure, and leakage due to difference in the flange flatness. This solution gasket also maintains the sealing even under adverse conditions such as thermal expansion and contraction that require a high level of resilience, thermal impact, vibration, etc. as well as secures high sealing performance with no need for hot-bolting even in use of LNG/LPG at ultra-low temperature and pipelines at high temperature and high pressure.

As the precise technical design is applied to the structure, including the double metal clad, spiral wound, O-ring, spring, and layer, this gasket model secures various advantages and exceeds the performance of any existing gaskets.

Hiflex metal gaskets are appropriate for critical environments where existing gaskets are not applicable such as hydrogen lines, heat exchangers that involve significant temperature fluctuation, lines that involve frequent leakage, etc. This model applies to every type of flanges and various industry sectors. Customized production for non-standard measurements and standard flanges available such as ASME, JIS, DIN, etc.

HIFLEX G-21

Hiflex G-21 maximizes the resilience by adopting the W-shape spiral wound gasket, O-ring, and spring. Buckling is prevented by covering the external part with the protective dual clad. As the product is an all-in-one set, it is easy to transport and install. As its resilience is outstanding, this product is used mainly in environments that involve vibration, contraction, and expansion frequently.

HIFLEX G-23

This is the major type of Hiflex Gasket. While its structure is the same as G-21, but the external clad is corrugated. As its resilience is better than that of G-21, this product is applied mainly for heat exchange and can be applied to conditions that require a high level of compressibility as well.

HIFLEX G-25

Hiflex G-25 covers multiple O-rings and springs with a dual clad. This product is applicable to narrow areas where G-21 or G-23 is not applicable. The width is adjustable between 10 and 16 mm. The general performance is better than that of the double jacketed metal gasket.

HIFLEX G-31

Hiflex G-31 is of an all-in-one structure that includes C-rings and springs within the serrated metal gasket. The C-rings and springs inside improve the product resilience, and the dual sealing structure features the excellent performance. This product is available in different sizes including the small-caliber model. It secures the outstanding performance in various temperature conditions from ultralow to high.

GLAND PACKING

Non-Asbestos Gland Packing

PTFE Fiber Packing

Pure PTFE Fiber yarns of excellent chemical resistance and durability into square cross sections. This product is nonlubricated.

Lubricated PTFE Fiber Packing

Pure PTFE fiber yarns, impregnated with PTFE Dispersion and a special heat-resistant lubricating oil are braided into square cross sections. It has execllent abrasion resistance and extraordinary mechanical strength and is suitable for highspeed pumps of almost all chemicals.

Graphite PTFE Fiber Packing

Graphite filled PTFE fiber an advanced material that disperses very small and good quality graphite is braided with PTFE. This packing combines the heat-resistance and low frictions of highly purified of graphite with the chemical resistance of PTFE so as not to cause damage to the revolving shaft.

Aramid Fiber impregnated with PTFE Packing

Aramid fibers impregnated with PTFE dispersion and treated with a special
heat-resistant lubricating oil, are braided into Square cross sections. It’s outstanding tensile Strength and Malleability contribute to its long life.
